New Cruise Ships expected in 2015

New Cruise Ships expected in 2015  – are you as excited as me when I hear about a new cruise ships coming to town.  Its like a big build up and you know that it is coming and just can’t wait to see what they have done.  I suppose I am a little cruise groupy really!

The new year comes with exciting new cruising options, events and new ships to hit the open seas.

In March of 2015, welcome the Britannia, the largest ship to be built for the cruising market in the United Kingdom and a new addition to the P&O fleet. This new ship will carry 3,611 passengers and there will be cabins available specifically for single travelers that will have balconies and it will house the largest spa in this fleet.

Guests will be able to enjoy a million dollar art collection and at least four different pool. In addition, a cooking school will be on-board the Britannia and there are celebrity driven restaurants for everyone to enjoy. There are several famous chefs that will be sailing with you and leading some of the culinary workshops, some rumored celebrity chefs include Atul Kochar, Marco Pierre White and wine specialist, Olly Smith.

During the month of April, you will see Viking Cruise Line known for their riverboat cruises hit the Mediterranean and Baltic seas. The Viking Star will hold 928 passengers among 464 cabins that will enjoy a Scandinavian inspired pool and spa.

They will also be privy to many of the features of the standard riverboat such as alfresco dining, the Aquavit Terrace and a spacious sundeck. Some of the ports of call include, but certainly not limited to, Stockholm, Berlin, Stavanger, Copenhagen, and St. Petersburg.  As of date, Viking Cruise lines owns and operates more than 30 passenger vessels.

In April, the Anthem of the Seas, the new ship to join the fleet of the Royal Caribbean cruise line feet, will leave Southampton and cruise around the Mediterranean. This amazing ship will hold 4,180 passengers and guests will be able to stimulate the skydiving experience and can participate in circus school.

In addition, guests of the Anthem of the Seas will be transported more than 300 feet up in the air to witness an extraordinary view of the oceans and the ports. Have a robot bartender serve you a drink as you enjoy dinner at one of the celebrity inspired restaurants.

Norwegian Escape

The Norwegian Escape, which was named by valued customers via a contest on Facebook, will debut late in 2015, and the 163,000 ton ship will carry 4,200 passengers to exotic destinations. This is going to be the first of four in the new cruise line.

One feature unique to Norwegian Cruise lines is their beautiful hull paintings and the Norwegian Escape will display an original and gorgeous marine motif by Guy Harvey.

In addition, guests can look forward to staterooms designed for singles and a 19,000 square foot casino that has a Skyline bar. The Waterfront is a beautiful outdoor space that you can enjoy a cocktail and diner under the stars.

The newest feature of the Norwegian Escape is the Haven, which is a ship within a ship that offers luxury suites, private dining and much more.

This ship will sail out of Miami, FL, USA and cruise around the eastern portion of the Caribbean. Rates start at $750.00 per person for a relaxing 7 night cruise.  With all the new cruise ships around we are really spoilt for choice.
